Accelerating the African continental free trade area through optimization of digital supply chains

The integration of e-commerce into supply chain management (SCM) and logistics operations has greatly impacted the way these processes are executed. Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) disrupted traditional SCM business processes, making digitalization a crucial element for differentiation competitiveness. objective this article was to investigate how adoption appropriate digital technologies could accelerate intra-African trade in goods services through AfCFTA Agreement. author employed content analysis primary source documents, specifically Protocol on Trade Goods, available AfCFTA's website. nine Annexes Goods were evaluated against (DSC) model adopted article. results showed that be effectively identified mapped potential DSC framework. practical implications study suggest adopt framework as guide concluding negotiations Digital harness benefits technologies.
